La Kurupira
The Kurupira floating cabin is a small floating hotel located on the Amazon River, 10 minutes outside Leticia.
The hotel is built with fine wood in a native style.
Its setting lets you watch dolphins, cool off with the Amazon breeze, enjoy starry nights, feel the scents and wild sounds.

Kurupira floating cabin, Los Micos Island, Puerto Nariño, Heliconia Natural Reserve.
First day
-Transfer to the port of Leticia!
-Board the boat to sail for 10 minutes on the Amazon River until reaching the Kurupira Floating Cabin.
Lunch
-Walk on Fantasy Island to get to know the native surroundings or visit Leticia to visit the Parrot Park
Dinner and accommodation
Second day
Los Micos Island, Puerto Nariño, Macedonia indigenous community and Correo Lakes.
-Breakfast at Kurupira.
-Departure by boat to Puerto Nariño sailing along the Amazon River.
-Visiting the Victoria Regia, the lotus flower, Los Micos Island, native Macedonia Community, Puerto Nariño, Correo lakes when the river allows.
*Pink dolphin watching.
- At 15:00 returning to the boat to go back to Kurupira.
- Dinner and accommodation at Kurupira
Third day
Heliconia Reserve
- The next morning, after breakfast, a trip on the Amazon River to the Heliconia reserve of about three and a half hours, during which we will sail on the majestic Amazon River and then along one of its largest and most important tributaries in the area, “The Yavarí River”, which forms a natural border between Brazil and Peru.
We will arrive at the Eco hotel of the Heliconia Reserve and after having a delicious lunch we will have available the different activities, mentioned below, that can be done in the reserve according to the guide’s criteria and the guest’s preference.
ACTIVITIES TO DO IN THE HELICONIA RESERVE ON DAYS THREE AND FOUR:
- Pink dolphin watching.
- Visits to native communities.
- Paddling canoes in the flooded forest.
- Artisan and traditional fishing.
- Exotic birdwatching.
- Day and night jungle hikes with native guides.
- Trips to the lakes surrounding the reserve.
- Night outing to spot caimans.
- Swimming in natural pools.
- Wildlife and flora spotting in the area.
- Indigenous tattoos.
*It is recommended to do at least two activities per day.
*Activities can be repeated.
Fifth day
-After breakfast return to Leticia by public boat
*Free time to buy handicrafts.
-Transfer to the airport.
