La Kurupira

La The Kurupira floating cabin is a small floating hotel located on the Amazon river 10 minutes outside of Leticia. 

 

The hotel is built with Wood in an native way. Its environment allowes you to observe dolphins, feel the river breeze, enjoy starry nights, feel the perfumes and sounds of the jungle.

First Day

 

- Transfer to the port of Leticia!

- Board the boat for a 10-minute ride on the Amazon River to reach the Kurupira Floating Cabin.

Lunch
- Hike to Fantasy Island to experience the native environment or visit Leticia to see the Parrot Park

Second Day

Peru Yavari River Sacambu and Benjamin Constant
 

Navigation on the Amazon River, downstream to the confluence with the Yavari River, an important tributary of the Amazon and the natural border between Brazil and Peru.

- There you will find the village of Benjamín Constante. Visit to the village.

Then visit to the Sacambu Reserve in Peruvian territory for artisanal fishing and canoeing.

- Lunch with the local people. Visit to a village to see the natural surroundings, observe some animals, and visit a pirarucu fish farm.

- Visit to Islandia, a Peruvian logging town.

*Dolphin watching.

Third Day

Monkey Island, Puerto Nariño, Macedonian indigenous community and Lagos Correo.

- Breakfast at Kurupira. Visit to the Victoria Amazonica blossom and  Monkey Island, sailing approximately an hour and a half on the Amazon River. Visit to the native indigenous village of Macedonia.
Lunch in the town of Puerto Nariño. Stroll around the town. Visit the Correo Lakes to possibly spot pink dolphins.
In the afternoon, return to Kurupira floating cabin.

Fourth Day

Indigenous Wayruru Maloka


- After breakfast at the Kurupira floating cabin, transfer to kilometer 7 outside of Leticia. Walk in the jungle for approximately an hour and a half towards the Wairuru indigenous Maloka of the Huitoto ethnic group.
Bathing in the Tacana ravine. Visit to the farm to learn about medicinal plants. Typical lunch.
Talk in Maloca about the customars of the Huitoto entity.
at 3:30 pm approximately one hour walk and transfer to the Kurupira floating cabin.

Fifth Day

Kanopy, kayak or jungle hike.

 

After breakfast, transfer to the outskirts of Leticia.

-TREE CLIMBING, CANOPY, AND SUSPENSION BRIDGE
Climb with mountaineering equipment to a platform 35 meters high with an incredible view of the rainforest canopy. Enjoy a 35-meter canopy tour to another platform, followed by a second 110-meter canopy tour, a 25-meter suspension bridge, and finally, a rappel descent.

-KAYAK TOURS OR INTERPRETIVE HIKE
The tour lasts approximately one hour, depending on the visitors' abilities and the water level, which is a limiting factor during the low water season. Therefore, an interpretive hike along the stream is also available. The destination of this hike is a restaurant that offers typical regional dishes.

-Lunch.

Sixth Day

 

After breakfast return to Leticia by public boat

*Free time to purchase Crafts. 

-Transfer to the airport.
